Examination Entry 2020
Your teacher has nominated you for a graded music examination. Pulse manages all aspects of entering you for examinations. Please read through the information below. If you wish us to proceed with the entry, please complete the form at the bottom of this page. There is also an option to ask any questions etc.
Which examination board is this session for?
This is aN RGT Board exam session. RGT is not connected to Pulse and the board will send an external examiner for the examination.
Where will the Examination take place?
Where Are Examinations Held?
Exams are held in a wide variety of venues. These may include rooms in schools, colleges, teachers houses, examiners houses, rehearsal studios, guitar centres, church and community halls.
Will I Have To Travel Far?
Not normally. Via our combined network of RGT@LCM centres we have several hundred possible venues spread widely across the UK. You will be assigned to the exams centre operating nearest to your home address.
Pulse will confirm the venue of your exam once we have confirmation of your exam from RGT.
When will the exam take place?
The exam period will be between November & December 2020 . The examination will usually take place during school hours. Exam slots will be allocated during this time and each exam slot will last no longer than 20 minutes.
How long will the examination take?
The examinations will take no longer that 20 minutes. You will be advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before your exam.
Examination Cost
The exam cost is set by RGT and Pulse has no control over the fees charged. Unfortunately, all fees are non refundable following payment to Trinity. Terms and conditions will apply in the event of illness etc.

How do I pay for the exam?
When you submit the form below, you will be taken to the payment page. This is a one off payment. The deadline for entry is strictly Monday 12th October. Please note that candidates will not receive reminder emails – payment confirms your entry.
What if there are dates that I / my child can't make?
In the reply box at the bottom of this form, please indicate any dates that are not possible. Please only indicate hospital appointments or unavoidable clashes. Trinity Rock & Pop availability of examiners will also need to be factored into arrangements.
Next Steps
- Candidates feedback any unavailable dates at the bottom of this form. Once any issues are resolved – please make payment. If you don’t have any issues / questions – please make payment.
- Once submitted – you will receive a confirmation email.
- Pulse will communicate your exam date and time at least 2 weeks before the event. Exam rehearsals dates and times will also be communicated a this point.
- The examination will take place.
- Approximately 1 week following the examination, Pulse will inform you of your result.
- Approximately three weeks following your exam – you will receive a certificate.
